Melksham Town slipped to their second defeat in six days as they were shocked at home by lowly Chard.
Wayne Thorne's men, who lost 2-1 at home to local rivals Frome on Monday, put in a lackustre display and paid the ultimate price as they continue their slide down the Toolstation Premier Division table.
The surprise victory for third-from-bottom Chard sees them climb six points clear of Devizes Town at the foot of the table.
