Rugby: Corsham 3rd have been kicked out of the Dorset & Wilts Three West division for failing to fulfil enough fixtures this season.
The team have had to cancel five games this term due to a lack of players, caused by them lending players to the club’s injury-ravaged second team.
The decision has left Corsham 3rd captain Steve Tye frustrated.
He said: “We can’t have too many complaints because we know that’s the rules, but there is a certain amount of inflexibility.
“We’ve got problems with injuries and absentees in our first and second teams so we have to release some of our players to them.
“I just feel frustrated because I’m trying to put sides out.
“I think there should be a bit more leeway to help third and fourth teams.”
n Corsham’s first team lost 24-18 at Frome in Southern Counties South on Saturday.
