Chippenham D 15, Calne C 31
Calne C were keen to maintain their unbeaten run in this match.
The first quarter was a very tight match with the teams matching each other goal for goal.
In the second quarter Chip began to exert their authority on the match as Calne began to slow up.
Just before the end of that quarter the Chip C sustained an ankle injury and was unable to continue in the match.
Calne managed to capitalise on their 1 player advantage in the third quarter and swiftly bought the score back in their favour.
Unfortunately another Chip injury forced them to concede the game.
Wessex Blades 43, Westbury B 14
This was the return match for the teams with Blades keen to repeat their winning result.
But with key players missing this was set to be an interesting encounter.
Once players settled into the match, the game play began to flow and Blades had a 10-1 lead by quarter time.
As the match continued, the Blades produced effective cohesive netball with accurate passing and flowing court play.
By three quarter time Blades lead 29-10. In the final quarter the Blades shooters really turned it on scoring 14goals in reply to Westbury’s 4. Blades player of match was Lorna Coleman.
Kennet 24, Dev Jax 21
The Jax made a strong start in this match, working very effectively as a team.
However as the match progressed they began to struggle against the speed of their opposition and their in-form shooters.
Although behind by a few at half-time, The Jax were confident they could close the gap.
But still they struggled to keep up with the speed of their opponents in the third quarter.
However in the final quarter, with a couple of team changes, The Jax came out fighting.
With excellent defence from Charlie Martin and Laura O’Donovan, and some spot-on shooting from Ayesha Holland and Georgia Sadd the score was closed down.
Combined with excellent centre court play from Kali Cottle, Rachel Holmshaw, Emma Smale and Katie Baross The Jax managed to take a point from this exciting match.

Chippenham C 20, Holt C 19
Chip and Holt met for the second time this season. Having lost by only 2 goals last encounter, Holt were determined to exact revenge.
Throughout the match the goal difference was no more than 2 at any time. The defence from both teams was excellent, with continuous turnovers at either end.
Going into the final quarter Holt had a 3 goal lead which a determined Chip had to fight hard to overcome.
With a couple of mins left Chip took the lead which they held onto to secure another win.
P-O-M for Chip was GD Sarah Cox, with the Holt GD receiving for them.
Westbury A 27, Dev B 21
Having managed to take a point off Westbury in their last match, Devizes B were determined to win this match.
This proved to be a very tight match with the teams almost matching each other goal for goal in the first half.
All shooters were on fine form, converting most opportunities. At the start of the third quarter Westbury scored 5 goals without reply.
But gradually Devizes pulled themselves back into the game with excellent teamwork and passing.
Going into the final quarter Devizes were only 1 goal behind but a lapse in concentration resulted in some poor passing into the circle which the Westbury defence snapped up.
Westbury gradually opened up a lead which Devizes were unable to reply to and they finished just outside the points. Dev P-o-M went to WA Aimee Williams.
Chippenham C 26, Devizes C 22
Both teams had a good match, which was close scoring throughout.
Devizes defence were excellent and Chippenham had to up their game to get the ball through to teir attack.
Chippenham produced their best team game of the season.
GS Karen Lyons was on brilliant form, scoring some excellent goals but their p-o-m was GK Debbie Boycott.
Combe Down 42, Chippenham A 22
C Down got off to a slow start with no goals scored for the first few minutes of this match. Eventually their shooters got into their stride and began to convert their chances.
At the other end of the court, some good interceptions from C Down defence cut down Chippenham’s shooting opportunities.
With a 9-5 lead after the first quarter, C Down made team changes in the hope of increasing their lead.
This they achieved with further interceptions and accurate shooting.
Further changes to the shooting combination at half-time produced the majority of C Downs goals in the third quarter.
Continued excellent defence by C Down cut out many of Chippenham’s chances, allowing good teamwork to bring the ball back up court to the in-form shooters.
Devizes A 38, Calne A 28
This was to be the first encounter for these 2 teams this season due to weather postponements.
Both teams were unbeaten at this point, so it was always going to be a close match.
Dev A remained calm under the pressure at either end of their court and capitalised on scoring chances as they were presented.
GA Claire Sartin, Dev p-o-m, had an excellent game both out on court bringing the ball into the shooting circle and for her high scoring percentage throughout the match.
Devizes B 24, Chippenham A 44
Both teams made a good start to this match but Chippenham had a slight edge throughout.
Devizes worked hard during this game, producing excellent supportive teamwork but the Chippenham defence rose to the occasion making crucial turn-over interceptions.
The tall Chipp GS proved difficult to mark and accurate high passes into her gave her plenty of shooting opportunities which she converted well.
Devizes responded well throughout the match and contested everything.
Their goal scoring increased in each quarter but was not enough to close the gap. P-o-m went to the two youngest players on court – Dev WD Lucy Baross and the Chipp GS.
