League leaders Calne Town were two goals up at Corsham with just a couple of minutes to go when the game was abandoned due to a serious looking knee injury to Corsham’s Jamie Moss.
Both managers and the match official agreed to b ring the game to a halt following the delay of getting an ambulance to the scene.
Earlier, although not at their best, the leaders went a goal up midway through the first half with a close range effort from Rikki Summers.
They continued to shade the second half but failed to add to their score until just over five minutes from time when Tom Boakes struck to make sure of victory.
Melksham Town, in second spot, found the going tough against a resolute Marlborough Town defence who defended well until midway through the second half when Kane Kalpane scored the only goal of the game with a cracking 25 yarder to seal the points for the home side.
Despite playing second fiddle for long periods of the game Bromham kept battling against last seasons champions Wroughton and earned a 2-1 victory with two goals in the last five minutes courtesy of Ollie Howe and Declan Harrison.
The home side had been trailing from a first half goal by Richard Poulton.
Jubilant Bromham boss Ben Howe said : “ That’s football, if you don’t take your chances you can get punished, it’s happened to us a couple of times this season.”
Purton kept the leaders in their sights following their 4-1 victory over visitors Warminster Town.
On top for most of the first half the home side failed to score but following the half time cuppa two quick strikes by Craig Hogg and Ashley Gooch gave them a two goal lead.
The visitors then pulled a goal back with a spectacular long range effort before Dave Rendle made sure of victory with two goals in the last ten minutes.
FC Chippenham Youth gained an impressive 5-2 victory over Pewsey Vale with Tom Highmore giving them the lead after just seven minutes, Arran Merryweather making it two shortly after.
However a mix up in the home defence allowed the visitors to get back into the game but just before the break Tom Jones and an own goal restored a healthy lead for the home outfit.
Yet another defensive mistake gave the Vale their second goal but Tom Jones struck again in the closing stages to add to the home sides tally.
Trowbridge Town and Shrewton, who held high flyers New College to a draw in midweek, shared the points in a no score draw, the Town’s Matt Jones having a header cleared off the line and Tom McKinder having a second half goal disallowed for offside in the second half.
Bottom club Westside were slow out of the blocks and found themselves three goals down in the first 15 minutes.
Luke Wareham pulled a goal back in the second half but United went on to add two more for a comfortable victory.
Once again New College were without a game through county commitments enabling Calne to lead the table by two points from second place Melksham Town with New College and Purton both five points behind in third and fourth place.
At the other end of the table Westside and Corsham Town are the bottom two with Warminster Town a place above.
