Melksham Town slipped to a narrow defeat at Willand Rovers in the Toolstation League Premier Division.
Town were lacklustre in the first half as they conceded twice but a half-time rollicking from manager Wayne Thorne sparked a better display after the break, with Dave Macey pulling a goal back from the penalty spot.
Melksham pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages but they were unable to snatch a point.
Thorne said: "The first half was not good enough whatsoever from us but in the second half we were outstanding."
