New Robins boss Ian Holloway was in the stands for the game against Gillingham with his new role in League Two starting on Monday, but he made the headlines for his antics in the stands.

He was easy to identify with his fashionable hat and after the tempo of the game changed as Grant Hall saw red, the former Crystal Palace manager took matters into his own hands.

It started with coaches Steve Mildenhall and Gavin Gunning leaving the dugout to step into the stands and communicate with Holloway but it soon got more interactive for the new manager.

He left his seat in the Arkells to get a closer view of the game by standing behind the bench which made communication easier for him and his soon-to-be coaching team.

After he made a few of his points clear, he found a seat near the touchline to get a view of the game which was somewhat similar to the technical area.

When the half time whistle was blown, he got up from his seat and walked down the tunnel to give the team his thoughts after the first half.

As the second half got underway, he returned to his seat that he made his own in the first period to view the game.
