Swindon Town made two appearances in the League Two team of the week despite a 2-1 loss to Salford City.

Defender Will Wright and midfielder Gavin Kilkenny earned a place in the squad as they registered 8.1 and 8.3 ratings, with the Irishman being the best player on the pitch statistically, according to WhoScored.

Wright made 12 clearances, three interceptions, two tackles and created two big chances in the tie on Tuesday.

Kilkenny won 17 out of 19 ground duels, made one key pass and won 13 tackles which earned him a place in midfield alongside Bromley and Walsall players Ben Thompson and Jamie Jellis.

Robins striker Harry Smith could have been the third player to feature in the team of the week and was unlucky not to after his second goal in two games earned him a rating of 8.

Swindon were also the only team to have players in the squad that had lost the game on Tuesday and it was their third appearance in the team of the week this month, after Joel McGregor and Will Wright previously featured in October with performances against Cheltenham and Harrogate.
