MELKSHAM Town claimed six points in four days in Southern League Division One South and made it three wins in a row in the competition in the process.
Having already battled back from a goal down to beat Mangotsfield United 2-1 at the InfiLED Arena on Saturday, Richard Fey’s side earned a 3-1 victory away at Bideford on Tuesday night.
The twin triumph follows up their 3-1 success away at Barnstaple Town from the previous weekend.
It also makes it six matches unbeaten in a row in the league for Melksham, a run dating date to the start of November.
That form has eased their worries in the bottom half of the table and they are now up to 12th in the standings.
Melksham were grateful for Jake Mawford’s double strike against Bideford as he gave them an early lead on Tuesday night.
Although the home side responded through Jack Rice-Lethaby, Melksham were back in front before the break in north Devon when Jack Ball found the net.
Mawford then made the points safe in the second half with his second goal of the game 20 minutes from time.
