BATH have been drawn alongside Clermont Auvergne, Ulster and Harlequins in Pool Three of the 20-19-20 Champions Cup.
Europe’s elite club rugby competition does not begin until November, but all 20 clubs were informed of their opponents in today’s draw in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Having finished the 2018-19 Premiership season is sixth place, Bath were selected as the Tier four club in Pool Three while domestic rivals Harlequins – who finished one place above Stuart Hooper’s men – were drawn as the Tier Three outfit.
Pro14 losing semi-finalists Ulster feature as the Tier Two side while Top 14 runners up Clermont should present Bath with the toughest challenge in next year’s competition.
Bath will begin their Champions Cup journey on either November 15, 16 or 17 and play four of their Pool matches before Christmas while the remaining two will take place throughout January 2020.
Should the Blue, Black and Whites emerge from their Pool, the quarter finals will be played across the first weekend in April and the semi-finals are set for the first weekend in May.
The European Champions Cup final will take place on Saturday May 23 at the Stade de Marseille.
