A MIXTURE of novice and experienced barebow, compound, longbow and recurve archers from across the two counties attended the Dorset & Wiltshire Archery Association's first event of the year earlier this month – the DWAA Indoor Championships.
With separate sessions in both morning and afternoon, most archery clubs in the two counties affiliated to Archery GB had participating archers in the respective divisions.
Several archers from clubs including Supermarine Bowmen and Osprey Archers performed strongly at the event across the different categories, having narrow margins to triumph.
The judges were Gloria Mead and Paul Burden, while the guest of honour was double gold winner at the first World Archery Masters Championships Adam Strachan-Stephens.
County association chairman Mark Pledger, said "The Indoor County Championship is our flagship indoor event in the winter season.
"It's great to see so many archers from our local clubs attending. Congratulations to them all."
The event was kindly sponsored by The Archery Shop in Dorset.
