CHIPPENHAM & District Sunday League top-flight side Semington and first division leaders Bromham served up a feast of football in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup, Semington finally winning through 6-3 after the game went to extra time.
Bromham, who led 1-0 at half-time, battled their way to a 3-3 stalemate after 90 minutes, Jamie Hall twice and Caleb Englefield cancelling out goals from Semington’s Dan Rimmer, Jon McChesney and Ed McCormack.
Sam Malone, Chris Dore and Lee Stripe were on target in extra time as Semington secured their spot in the next round.
Bath Road suffered a 6-3 loss at home to second division newcomers Lion & Fiddle.
Quinnan Tarawali, Tom Sigee from the penalty spot and Dan Bendall netted for Bath Road who trailed 5-0 at one point.
Four from Conner McKay plus strikes from Ryan Underwood and Leon Greenland did the damage for the Fiddle.
A 2-1 extra-time win saw first division New Inn Wacker claim the scalp of Premier Division opponents Bell By The Green.
Antony Butler’s first-half effort saw Bell lead until the 75th minute when Rob Brown levelled things for New Inn.
Brown claimed New Inn’s winner, which went in off the unfortunate Leigh Blanchard.
A 5-2 triumph for Box Rovers saw them dispose of fellow top-flight outfit FC Bradford.
Justin Flowers, Nick Chandler and Dan King gave Box a 3-0 interval lead, King adding a couple more after the break to complete his hat-trick with John Carroll scoring both Bradford goals.
Faded and North Star Club renewed old rivalries and it was the former who took the cup honours courtesy of a 6-2 triumph.
Faded took an early lead when Kieran Palmer netted from a set piece. Joe Childs got the Star back on level terms, but a wonderful goal from Matt Stevens gave Faded a 2-1 interval lead.
Dan Jones scored twice to make it 4-1, Ashley Poms and Zack Manna (penalty) making up their tally. Mike McKelller was the Star's other hitman.
Leading 1-0 at the break, FC Lacock finally overcame 10-man Calne United 6-1 success, Billy Gleed with a couple, Kieron Gleed, Corey Williams, Sam Thomson and Josh Hard on target. James Harris replied.
Second division new boys Gloucester Conservative overturned a 2-0 deficit to beat first division opposition FC Libby 4-2.
Sam Robinson and Troy Hawkes put Libby on the front foot but goals from David Raine, Andy Morton, Will Smart and Aaron Burbidge turned it around.
Fox & Hounds (Warminster) were blown away 12-3 by Old Road, Matt Poole top scoring with four and Jack Dunn and Kez Nickless-Mooney adding two each. Seamus Nickless-Mooney, Aaron Holbrook, Adam O’Keefe and Jake O’Keefe shared the others, Chikiah Selassie twice and Ross Pugh replying.
Premier Division leaders FC North Wiltshire suffered a 5-0 loss to Swindon's Gustoso FC, while nine-man Wednesday Warriors crashed 9-0 at PSV Swindon.
Sutton Benger were beaten 3-2 by Athletico Marlborough, Matt White and Jason Cole on target, while George Garraway’s back post volley from a Aiden Harkins free kick gave Biddestone their consolation in their 6-1 defeat at Swindon Waiting Rooms
