TROWBRIDGE'S Hannah Burt triumphed in the Dodson & Horrell 1.05m National Amateur second round at Badgworth Arena in Somerset.
The last of this year’s Dodson & Horrell events drew 34 competitors from around the country, with qualification for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during November 14-19 up for grabs.
Delivering a scorching double clear, Burt jumped straight in to first place on board her 17-year-old bay mare, B Fancy.
In a tense four-horse jump off, she maintained nerves of steel as she rode a stylish and unbeatable round in 36.32 seconds.
Claiming second place was Pierre Baber, from Bristol, riding his 16-year-old bay gelding Ulysses W, leaving all the fences standing for a double clear in 39.17 seconds.
Scooping third place was Lily Mason, from Wareham, with her 12-year-old grey gelding, Accendo.
Producing the final double clear of the class, they combination finished in 47.69 seconds.
