TONY Brack from Melksham clinched the top prize in the Trowbridge Seniors Tuesday match at Pockeridge, writes COLIN SCULL.
Brack’s carp and roach catch weighing 21 lb saw him finish ahead of John Blackmore, from Lavington, with 13 lb 8 oz of carp and roach.
Roger Green, from Trowbridge, was third with a roach and perch catch weighing11 lb 8 oz.
Other placings: 4. Jim Escott Melksham 11 lb; 5. Ernie Jones Trowbridge 10 lb; 6. Paul Brown Devizes 8 lb 8 oz.
THE Friday Airsprung evening match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Moulton Drive saw top honours go to Richard Whitmarsh, from Frome, with a roach and skimmers weighing 9 lb 6 oz.
Dean Adams, from Bradford, took runner up spot with a roach and skimmers catch weighing 6 lb 12 oz followed by Oliver Keates, from Hilperton, with a skimmers and perch weighing 4 lb 2 oz.
Other placings: 4. Mick Withy Westbury 2 lb 11 oz 8 dm; 5 Dave Morrison Trowbridge 2 lb 10 oz; 6. Bill Turner Trowbridge 2 lb 9 oz.
SUNDAY'S Wilts Angling Open match fished at Blue Circle saw Kevin Grant, from Trowbridge, carry off top prize with 46 lb 4 oz of carp.
Dave Bancroft, from Trowbridge, was runner up spot with 43 lb of carp, with Gerry Lugg, from Beckington, third with 31 lb of carp.
The silvers prize went to Pete Neate, from Holt, with 4 lb 14 oz.
THE Airsprung match fished on Sunday at Rood Ashton was won by Whitmarsh with a carp catch weighing 108 lb 8 oz.
Dan Blackwell, from Trowbridge, took runner up spot with 85 lb 12 oz of carp.
Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, was third with 80 lb of carp.
Other placings: 4.Kevin Hanson Trowbridge 71 lb 8 oz; 5. Steve Musitano Trowbridge 62 lb; 6. Andy Fox Hilperton 52 lb 4 oz.
