Bradford’s Jim Butcher, of Wilts Angling, carried off the top prize in the Viaduct Fishery Thursday Open match.
Butcher took an all carp catch of130 lb 1 oz for a comfortable win. Nick Jones, of Tackle Trader, took runner-up spot with a carp catch of 100 lb 7 oz, Drennan SW‘s Paul Dash was third with a carp catch of 67 lb 4 oz, and Dan Sullivan, of Maver, was fourth with carp catch of 56 lb 0 oz.
The silvers prize went to Steve Puddy, of Landsend, with a skimmers catch of 13 lb 6 oz.
Airsprung gained a comfortable win over Tisbury in their inter-club match on Sunday on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Tithe Barn with a weight of 21 lb 1 oz to Tisbury’s 9 lb 10 oz.
Individual honours on the day went to Dean Adams, of Airsprung, with a roach and skimmers catch of 5 lb 12 oz.
Other placings: 2 Richard Whitmarsh (Airsprung) 5 lb 12 oz; 3 Mike Bell (Tisbury) 2 lb 12 oz, 4 Andy Fox (Airsprung) 2 lb 8 oz; 5 Bill Turner (Airsprung) 2 lb 4 oz; 6 Brian Trim (Tisbury) 1 lb 12 oz.
Competitors enjoyed excellent sport in the Chippenham Open match on Sunday on the Bristol Avon at Chippenham.
Top Honours on the day went to Chippenham’s Ian Liddell with a chub and roach catch of 17 l b 4 oz.

The Wilts Angling Open match produced good sport at Shearwater on Sunday.
Devizes’ Alan Parsons from Devizes carried off top prize with a carp and bream catch of 39 lb 12 oz.
