THE Tuesday Trowbridge Seniors match at Pockeridge was won by Tony Brack, from Melksham, with 33 lb 12 oz of carp and roach.

Jim Escott, from Melksham, was next, with 20 lb 4 oz of roach and skimmers, and Mick O’Neil, from Melksham, third with 16 lb of carp and roach.

  •  DEVIZES anglers again featured well in the latest Daiwa Gordon League match on the Gloucester Canal.

Nigel Baker, of Devizes MG, topped the 61-peg field with a net of bream weighing 74 lb 4 oz. Teammate Adrian McTiffin took runner up spot with another bream catch weighing 65 lb 10 oz followed by John Clegg, of Browning West Midlands, with 50 lb 7 oz of bream.

  • THE Bristol Avon at Staverton hosted the Trowbridge Wednesday Evening Open as Neil Richards, from Swindon, carried off top prize with 9 lb 4 oz of roach and small chub.

Vic Abbott, from Bradford, with 8 lb 14 oz of roach and perch, was second with Nick Johns, from Trowbridge, third with 8 lb 3 oz.

  • THE final match in the Avon SCC series was fished on Saturday on the Bristol Avon at Portman Road where Ian Stainer, from Trowbridge, took 23 lb 6 oz of bream to clinch victory.

Marcus Crook, from Melksham, took runner up spot with 15 lb of roach, followed by Alan Hiller, from Westbury, in third with 10 lb 8 oz of roach. The series winner was Brian Haigh, from Melksham, with an aggregate weight of 54 lb 2 oz 8 dm.

  • SUNDAY'S Airsprung match at Farleigh Wood was won by Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, with 59 lb 4 oz of carp and skimmers.

  • TONY Gilbert, from Melksham, won the Wilts Angling Open match on the Bristol Avon at Whaddon with 9 lb 4 oz of roach, chub and bleak.

Alan Hillier, from Westbury, took 6 lb 12 oz of roach and small chub for second, followed by Robbie Kepner, from Melksham, with 5 lb 13 oz of roach and perch.
