COMPETITORS in the Trowbridge Seniors match found mixed sport on Tuesday at Leech Pool.
Bernie Ryan, from Devizes, carried off top prize with a carp and skimmers catch weighing 42lb 12oz, taken on pole-fished pellets.
Melksham’s Mick O’Neill pushed him all the way to finish a close runner-up with a carp and skimmers catch weighing 41lb 0oz, also taken on pole-fished pellets.
Paul Brown, from Devizes, clinched third prize ahead of John Blackmore, Melksham's Jim Escott, and Brian Ellis.
l FISH proved hard to tempt in the Airsprung match fished at Cuckoos Rest on Sunday.
Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, took top honours with a bream and skimmers catch weighing 14lb 10oz, taken on pole-fished pellets, to beat Steve Ince into the runner-up spot, with Bill Turner back in third.
