BRADFORD Town suffered a hiccup in their bid to claim the Toolstation League First Division title last weekend as they were stunned by county rivals Devizes Town.
Bradford suffered only their second league defeat of the season as a goal from the visitors’ Mark Barnes condemned Paul Shanley’s league leaders to a 1-0 loss at Trowbridge Road.
Bradford require eleven points to clinch the title but just four to be certain of promotion after Barnstaple Town’s defeat to Chippenham Park last weekend.
Elsewhere, in-form Corsham Town notched up a 2-0 victory at Wellington.
Trevor Rawlings’ side, who are now unbeaten in 12 matches, ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Nick Holton and Ben Moore.
But there was disappointment for Warminster Town as Jack Metcalf's goal wasn't enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat at Keynsham Town.
In the Premier Division, Melksham Town notched up a second successive victory as they won 2-1 at Buckland Athletic.
Ben Thomson put Darren Perrin’s men ahead and after the hosts had levelled matters, Nick Ridout came off the bench to net the winner.
