AFTER picking up their first win of the season at their sixteenth attempt last weekend, basement side Chippenham West End will bid to claim back-to-back victories when they hosts Kings Arms (All Cannings) this weekend.

West End suffered a 4-2 loss in the reverse fixture but they go into a game on a high after their breathtaking 6-0 triumph over Division One title hopefuls Somerford and as their guests have not won in five, they have every chance of picking up another three points.

Leaders Prestige Bodyworks could secure their place in the top flight for next season if they beat second-placed Staverton, who, following defeats in their previous two games, have seen their outside chance of finishing in the top-two disappear.

The teams fought out a thrilling 3-3 draw earlier in the season and if the return match is half as good as their meeting in October, it should be a classic.

Prestige will be up for the game and with Staverton looking to pick their line-up from a hat for what is their final fixture of the campaign, all the signs point to a Prestige win.

Somerford could see their title aspirations suffer another setback this weekend as next up for Spike Chandler’s side are an inform North Star A, who have won four on the spin and have lost just once in six.

Somerford will have to be at their very best as they look to get their promotion charge back on track but should the Star pick up where they left off from last weekend when they beat Staverton 5-0, then Chandler’s men may well suffer their third loss of the season.

Clive Black’s White Horse (Sunday) A entertain Goatacre CC FC and although Black’s side will go into the game after the disappointment of missing out on a Sunday Cup Final spot, they will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.

The hosts defeated Goatacre 5-3 back in January and even though the visitors to Westbury ended their own six match losing run in their last outing, they are unlikely to get any joy at the Leighton Sports Centre.
