HAVING made a welcome return to action in their first game since early December last weekend, Trowbridge Town Supporters Club will be hoping to build on their 3-3 draw away at North Star B when they host Division Three leaders Melksham Cosmos at Bratton this weekend.

However, Kevin Williams' side may not be looking forward to the return match as the last time the sides met, Cosmos won 4-1 and what should be another keenly-contested fixture is once again expected to be won by Melksham, as they look to maintain their nine point advantage over their rivals at the top of the table.

The bottom two sides in the division go head-to-head at Nurstead Road in what is a must-win game for both Crossblades FC and FC North Wiltshire.

Three points in this proverbial relegation six-pointer would see the victors move out of the drop zone.

North Wilts won the earlier meeting of the teams 3-1 but what should be a fiercely-contested match has every chance of ending with the points being shared as the sides battle for their third division survival.

Christian Malford will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run to ten matches when they travel to Beversbrook to take on a North Star B, who they will meet twice in their remaining four fixtures.

Malford, who have lost just once in their last 13 games, will be looking to take points off Lee Lovelock’s side for a third straight game.

Second-placed Sportzcoach Dragonz United, who are nine points off top spot with three games in hand on leaders Melksham Cosmos, will be looking for their rivals to slip up at Trowbridge and hope they do the business against Andy Rose’s Old Road at Stanley Park.

Old Road ended a three-game losing run last time out but they will have to be at their very best against their hosts, who will be desperate to keep their title dream alive after missing out on a WG Parr Trophy final spot last weekend.
