A WEEK after they suffered a 4-2 loss away at in-form Cross Keys Rowde, Bath Road FC will look to revive their Division Four promotion hopes by avenging that defeat when the two teams meet again at Vallens Terrace this weekend.
Rowde have been on top form of late and are unbeaten in six games, and it would take a brave man to bet against the villagers picking up another victory, but with the hosts desperate for the points, they may just nick a draw.
Runaway leaders Corsham Centre Youth, who gained promotion last weekend, were given a run for their money the last time they met Melksham Forest Community Centre but claimed a 3-2 victory over Steve Wakefield’s side.
They should have few problems in registering their 14th straight league victory when the sides clash again at Meriton Avenue, as Wakefield’s side have lost four on the spin and are unlikely to get any joy from their trip to the champions-elect.
Melksham Forest Community Centre will be looking to end a five-match losing streak when they welcome White Horse (Sunday) B to Awdry Avenue.
White Horse picked up their first win of the season with victory over their hosts back in January and they would love to complete a double.
Fourth-in-the-table Bremhill View Boys are on the road at Kington Langley, where they visit an Oakhill FC side who shocked Chris Ede's men by claiming a shock 3-0 victory when the teams met in November.
Bremhill, who have drawn three of their last four matches, would love to avenge their previous loss but all the signs point to another win for Oakhill win, in what will be their final game of the season.
Miller Sports B may have suffered a 4-2 defeat away at The Mallard when the teams met earlier in the season, but Tim Knight’s in-form Melksham-based side, who have suffered just one defeat in their last seven games, will be confident that they can keep their good run going as they look to climb up the Division Four table.
Mallard, who have won just one of their last five outings, have yet to taste victory on the road and their trip to Shaw is likley to see them return to Lyneham empty-handed as a home win is predicted.
