BATH youngster Ollie Devoto has been voted the LV= Breakthrough Player for 2014.
Devoto, whose most recent appearances have been in the centre for his club, was nominated for the accolade following his performances throughout all four pool stages of this season's LV=Cup.
The 20 year old won with just under 40 per cent of the total vote to follow Exeter's Jack Nowell, now an England regular, who won in 2013 and fellow England wing Jonny May, of Gloucester, the 2012 winner.
Devoto will choose a grassroots club of his choice - Sherborne RFC - to receive a £1,000 donation from LV=.
Devoto, who was surprised with the award by his Bath teammates, today, said: "Winning the LV= Breakthrough Player Award is a great feeling.
"We all work extremely hard at Bath Rugby to set consistently high standards, so to be rewarded for that is both humbling and exciting.
"A lot of credit has go to my teammates and coaches, I'm happy I could repay their faith for putting me in big games like the ones I have played in during the LV=Cup."
