MARK Edmonds will replace long-serving Ken Clarke as general secretary of the Toolstation Western League
Clarke, from Chippenham, will step aside when the season concludes in May after 15 seasons in the job.
Tidworth-based Edmonds will take over - subject to endorsement at the leageu's AGM at the end of the season - having served as a linesman and referee for more than ten years, also officiating on the Wessex, Hellenic, Isthmian, Southern, Football Combination, Football Conference and FA Premier Reserve League.
Edmonds has been a Wiltshire FA Council member since 2004 and a director there since 2009.
Clarke will remain as company secretary of the league.
Meanwhile, the Football Association have announced that, due to the abnormal rainfall, all leagues may extend their season until May 5.
