THE Avon Valley Runners’ squad of Fiona Price, Jackie Rockciffe and Diane Hier were the winners of the veteran ladies team competition in the 33rd Bath Half Marathon on Sunday.

The AVR trio also claimed second place in the open event behind a strong Bristol & West AC squad.
Leading runner Price smashed her personal best to clock 1:26:58 and win her femail vet 45 category, ahead of her trip to Budapest later this month to compete in the Masters Half Marathon World Championships.
Hier ran 1:30:57 and took the female vet 50 title by just 22 seconds.
