THE SPOTLIGHT this weekend falls upon three of the four outstanding quarter-final ties in this season’s Knock Out Cup.
At Yatton Road, weather permitting that is, Premier Division rivals Biddestone Social and Bradford Renegades will be hoping that it will be third time lucky as they lock horns looking to book their spot in the last four.
Holders Biddestone, who lifted the Presstoprint-sponsored trophy last term when they beat Bug & Spider 4-2, will be given a tough test by Renegades, who now have Dan Mercer in charge.
And if the visitors hit form they could actually end the holders' hopes of winning the cup for a fourth time in five years.
However, what should be a thrilling cup tie, may need extra-time to produce a winner and if things go to form, it should be Social who keep their cup dreams alive.
