MATT Rusling’s Southwick Wanderers side made the most of Miller Sports inactivity in Division Two as a 4-3 win for the villagers at GRFC saw Rusling’s side return to the of the table for the first time since early October.

Southwick went in front on 15 minutes when Stuart Powell played in Jack Parker for the opener and despite many chances to score a second that was how things remained until the break.

The second period was more profitable for Wanderers who made it 2-0 when Ferris Lamrabet drilled home from 25 yards.

A second from Lamrabet who won the ball in the middle of the park and broke clear to score Southwick’s third and another from Jack Parker again after being set up by Powell made it 4-0 before GRFC staged a bit of a comeback.

Gary Wroe's first-ever goal for the club, Matt Jenkins and Matthew Baker cut the gap to the odd goal but although Southwick were hanging on at the death they clung on to claim maximum points that returned them to the summit.

Fortune Inn 6 AFC Avellinos 1

IT WAS a case of deja-vu for Pete Rees AFC Avellinos who for a second week suffered a 6-1 loss in a game that they had actually take the lead.

Avellinos, who were beaten by Miller Sports A last weekend, were beaten by Fortune Inn this Sunday and like the previous wek they took the lead via a Tom Flynn penalty, but after that things went downhill.

Ryan Kubulius get Fortune back on level terms and goals from Billy Cookson his first for the club and Joe Hylands gave Fortune a 3-1 lead at the break.

Second-half goals from Danny Johnstone, Craig Archard and a second for Kubulius who had started the ball rolling made up the winners' half dozen.

Potterne CFC 2 Talbot FC 2

POTTERNE CFC and Talbot FC shared four goals at the points at Market Lavington with Dean Fry earning Talbot a 2-2 draw with a sublime long range strike with virtually the last kick of the game.

It was Dean Fry who opened his account for the season to give Bremhill the lead. Wayne House restored parity for Potterne before Steven House gave them the lead.

The points looked to be staying with Pete Huntley’s side until Fry doubled his and Talbot’s tally for the morning with a breathtaking 40 yard finish to deny the hosts what would have been their third win of the season.
