LAST season’s presstoprint-sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup winners Biddestone Social, who suffered a surprise loss in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup last weekend, will be out to avoid another potential banana skin as they battle to keep hold of the trophy they won last term.
Ashley Smith’s side visit first division Staverton, who also go into the game on the back of a shock loss to Kings Arms. Both sides will be understrength for the clash at Atworth it should be Biddestone who progress to face Goatacre in the next round.
Fourth division Corsham Centre Youth, fresh from their stunning Sunday Cup success over New Century WMC and Kings Arms (All Cannings) will go head-to-head at Meriton Avenue with the winners booking themselves the first quarter final berth.
Although the visitors to Corsham ply their trade in Division One they will be underdogs in a game that Pete Ralph’s Centre side should sail through.
