SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open match at Shepton Montacute went to Richard Brimble, from Westbury, with 64 lb 8 oz of carp, writes COLIN SCULL.

Pete Neate, from Holt, was next with 36 lb 12 oz of carp, followed by Dave Bancroft, from Trowbridge, with 34 lb 14 oz of carp.

THE Bristol Avon at Barton Farm hosted the Airsprung Xmas match on Sunday where Mike Marsden from Westbury won with 17 lb 4 oz of chub and roach.

Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, was next with 15 lb 14 oz of roach, followed by Steve Ince, from Trowbridge, with 15 lb 7 oz of roach.

SUNDAY’S Chippenham Xmas match was won by Steve Palmer with 15 lb 4 oz of roach, from Kevin Williams with 13 lb 4 oz of chub.

Mark Wooldridge was third with 11 lb of chub and roach.
