FROME Town's Somerset Premier Cup second round tie at Keynsham Town was abandoned last night after an injury to Robins' goalkeeper Scott Armstrong.
The visitors led 2-1 when Armstrong came for a catch but landed awkwardly onto Keynsham's 3G playing surface on 73 minutes.
After lengthy treatment and ambulance was called but, with Armstrong still laying on the pitch, referee Savvas Yiani was forced to call an early halt.
Keynsham had an early second-half lead, but Matt Clark soon equalised and Ben Wood gave Frome the lead before Armstrong's injury.
Both clubs will await await the Somerset FA’s decision on any possible replay date.
