BRADFORD halted title-chasing Supermarine at Ashley Lane to put themselves right into the promotion mix.
The home side, shorn of several first-team performers in the pack, nevertheless shoved the visitors around the Broom Ground as they ended Marine’s five-match unbeaten run and stretched their own to three games.
A tense second half saw Nick Abbott’s try prove decisive, Dan Bright nudging his side a point in front from the conversion as Bradford held on.
Honours were even at half time as sustained pressure allowed Ben Sheppard to go over for the home side.
Marine though had their own good spell just before the interval and crossed under the posts, although the conversion was surprisingly missed.
The visitors came out firing in the second period and two long penalties nudged them into an 11-5 lead.
Bradford would not be denied however, Abbott cutting a fine line through the defence to go under the posts, allowing Bright a simple conversion.
