STEPHEN Wakefield, manager of Melksham Forest Community Centre, would have been shocked by his teams surprise loss a way at Cross Keys Rowde.

A 2-1 defeat for the Melksham-based side at Sands Lane saw them miss out on their seventh win of the season and also saw them fail to close the gap on runaway Division Four leaders Corsham Centre Youth, who were in Sunday Cup action.

Wakefield must have thought that his team were on course for another victory after Jake Goldsworthy had given them the lead.

Bradley Whitbread leveled for Rowde when he slotted home from the penalty spot and Matt Lever’s header 10 minutes from time won the game for the villagers.

The game finished with both teams down to 10 men after Rowde’s man of the match Jamie Wallen and Melksham’s Mark Pearce were sent off late on.

Bremhill View Boys 2 Miller Sports B 1

A 2-1 WIN for Bremhill View Boys at home to an in-form Miller Sports B side saw them claim their first victory in three attempts.

Goals from Matt Richards his first for the club and Luke DeBoer gave Bremhill a 2-0 lead at the break despite having Zach Surry dismissed just five minutes into the game.

Miller staged a spirited fightback in the second half, but although top scorer Harry Waylan reduced their arrears, the 10 men of Bremhill View did manager Chris Edes proud as they held out for a deserved win.

OAKHILL FC’s topsy-turvy campaign continued at The Mallard FC who ended a three winless run with a 3-2 triumph, but their win was anything but easy as they had to overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit to claim their third win of the season.

Goals from Jordan Tarrant and Kieran Edwards which was his first ever for the club put Oakhill seemingly in charge at the break. However a second-half comeback that was sparked by a first-ever goal for Lee Lasisi paved the way for Mallard’s win.

Andy Adams got Mallard back on level terms and a second former AFC Lyneham player sealed victory for Lee Holland’s side.

White Horse (Sunday) B 0 Bath Road FC 4

WHITE Horse B were made to pay for missing a host of first half chances as a strong second half showing from Bath Road FC saw them claim a 4-0 win that moves them into second place and leaves Chris Webber’s side still looking for their first win of the season.

Horse, who were wasteful in front of goal in the first 45 minutes fell behind to a Tim Knight’s head when the hosts were unable to deal with a corner.

Matt White made it 2-0, Neil Manifold added number three and a well-executed finished from James Hernandez made up Bath Road’s tally.
