STEPHEN Wakefield, manager of Melksham Forest Community Centre, will be pleased with the way his team have responded since losing two of their opening three games of the season.
Now residing in second place behind runaway leaders Corsham Centre Youth, Wakefield will hope that his team can pick up another three points as they bid for a top two finish.
Next up for Melksham Forest is a trip to Cross Keys Rowde where it would be a massive shock if they didn’t claim their seventh win of the season.
Back-to-back defeats for Bremhill View Boys, who are missing top scorer Stuart Windsor through injury, have seen Chris Edes' side slip down the standings to fourth place and the Calne side may find it hard to end their loss of form this wee.
With no win in three, The Mallard FC will have to work really hard if they are to get anything from their game at Buckley Barracks with Oakhill FC, who have had somewhat of a topsy-turvy campaign to date, winning four and losing four of their nine games.
In what will be the first meeting of the teams, Oakhill will be favourites to take the spoils.
Another team in the promotion race are Bath Road FC, who will no doubt have one eye on the Melksham Forest result against Bremhill View.
Should they beat White Horse B and Melksham fail to beat Bremhill then Bath Road will move into second spot.
The Chippenham-based side drew 3-3 with their hosts earlier in the season, however they ought to pick up maximum points from their trip.
