THE Division Four clash between second-placed Melksham Forest Community Centre and Bremhill View Boys, who started the morning in third spot, went to form with Melksham claiming a 7-1 win which was a remarkable turnaround as they had suffered a 10-2 loss at the hands of Chris Edes' side earlier in the season.

A Steve Badger own goal was Bremhill’s only consolation from a game that saw Forest boss from the very first whistle and in truth they could have scored a lot more than the seven goals that they actually did.

Dan Goldsworthy topped the scoring charts with a hat-trick. Jake Goldsworthy added a brace with singles from Adam Hatch and Luke Fisher making up the winners 7.

Miller Sports B 3 Cavalier FC 3

A 3-3 DRAW for Miller Sports B at Cavalier FC saw them extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

However Tim Knight’s side maybe a little bit disappointed with the result as they had already beaten Andy Holman’s side 7-1 earlier in the season.

Jay Bowers saw his opener for Cavalier cancelled out by Dan Waylan. Brendan Knight put Miller in front early in the second period before Jay Bowers notched his second of the morning to keep Cavalier in the game.

Harry Waylan handed the advantage back to Miller and with just minutes left it looked as if they would a victory which was denied by Jeremy Wiltshire whose sublime 25 yard thunderbolt made it 3-3.

Oakhill FC 0 Corsham Centre Youth 4

CHIPPENHAM-BASED Oakhill FC suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands runaway leaders Corsham Centre Youth, whose performance was anything but satisfying for manager Pete Ralph.

The honesty of Oakhill linesman Bernie Court confirmed Adam Shipman’s flick had crossed the line and the Centre were 1-0 up after 25 minutes.

On 35 minutes Adrian Webb’s shot hit the bar and crossed the line giving the Centre their 2-0 half time lead.

Oakhill continued to battle throughout the second half and with the Centre their own worst enemies as they missed chances and were sloppy in their passing.

Fortunately Centre’s keeper Joe King had a very competent game swiftly dealing with Oakhill’s breakaways and culminating in him saving a late Jordan Tarrant penalty.

The Centre’s other goals were scored by Stuart Tutty and a James Lye header from a cross by Ben Thomson.

The Mallard FC 1 Bath Road FC 5

AFTER suffering their first loss of the season last weekend Bath Road FC made a immediate return to winning ways by beating lowly Mallard FC 5-1.

Danny Smyth scored his first goal for Mallard to give them the lead, but they were unable to build on their early advantage as a goal from Luke Carrington got Bath Road on level terms before the interval.

After the break it was one-way traffic as goals from Matt White, James Hernandez, Luke Jones and Jordan Jones who scored with a delightful lob wrapped up victory for the Chippenham based side.

White Horse (Sunday) B 1 Cross Keys Rowde 1

WHITE Horse (Sunday) B are still searching for their first win of the season after they were held at home to a 1-1 draw by a Cross Keys Rowde side who had beaten their hosts 3-0 in their opening fixture of the season.

Paul Bendell thumped the ball home to give White Horse the lead on 5 minutes, but his fabulous goal wasn’t enough to give Chris Webber’s side all 3 points as Jamie Wallen’s 25th minute goal made sure Rowde left Westbury with a point from their 1-1 draw.
