CHRISTIAN Malford will visit Crossblades FC for their latest Division three fixture and if the villagers could strike gold at Nurstead Road it would give them a third straight win and another massive three points in their battle to avoid relegation.

Malford, who have not won three on the spin since the start of the 2011 season, will be favourites to take the points from a Blades’ side who are in the bottom two.

After conceding 18 goals in their opening two games it looked as if Pig & Whistle United would against have relegation battle on their hands.

However, a couple shrewd singings later Richard Allen’s side have climb from the danger zone to third spot and a trip to North Star B, who beat them 11-0 in the reverse fixture, could be a profitable one.

Having already beaten Old Road FC 5-2 this term, table-topping Melksham Cosmos will fancy their chances of completing a league double over their opponents when they get together at Langley Burrell at the weekend.

With Trowbridge Supporters Town Club’s manager Kevin Williams still in hospital recovering from a recent operation, Paul Rendall will hope that his tenure as stand-in manager will yield another three points to help aid in Williams' recuperation.

Rendall will welcome basement side FC North Wiltshire to Bratton where he will be looking for a repeat of last season’s scoreline when Dean Coles scored all five in a 5-4 win.

For Wren FC, who lost 4-2 at leaders Melksham Cosmos last weekend, it will be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire as next up for Matt Fenn’s side are high-scoring Sportzcoach Dragonz United, who have won all six of their games to date, scoring 45 goals in the process.
