COMPETITORS had mixed fortunes in the Upper Thames Winter League match on the Bristol Avon at Chippenham and Melksham.
Daiwa Gordon League took team honours with 50 points followed by Garbolino BVMG with 39 and Swindon Talisman with 36.
Individually, Andy Pollard of Daiwa Gordon League won with 17 lb 6 oz of chub and perch.
John Bohane, of Swindon Talisman, took runner up spot with a 13 lb 2 oz of chub and skimmers. Dave Micklewright, of Daiwa Gordon League, took third with 10 lb 4 oz.

WEIGHTS were fairly even in Sunday’s Wilts Angling Open match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Horton.
Stuart White, from Chippenham, won top prize with 8 lb 3 oz of roach and gudgeon.
Vic Abbott, from Bradford, was runner up with roach and hybrids weighing 7 lb 6 oz, followed by John Atkins, from Trowbridge, with 7 lb 3 oz of roach and gudgeon. Mick Martin, from Trowbridge, was fourth with 6 lb 15 oz.
THE Tuesday Open match at Ivy House Fishery was won by Paul Ogbourne, of New Century, with 30 lb of carp.
Justin Ogbourne, of New Century, was runner up with 23 lb 12 oz of carp, followed by Phil Mackay, of The Duke, with 17 lb 12 oz of carp and silvers.
SATURDAY’S Ivy House Fishery match went to Chris Derrick, of Fish & Field, with 30 lb of carp and silvers.
Alan Smith, of Ivy House, took 12 lb 10 oz of carp and silvers for second, with Ian Millichip third with 12 lb 1 oz. The silvers prize went to Dick Young, of Ivy House, with 9 lb 6 oz.
Young won the Sunday Ivy House Open with 57 lb 8 oz of carp and silvers.
Next was Chris Cotterell, of Ivy House, with 21 lb 7 oz of carp and silvers, followed by Terry Hicks, of Ivy House, with 15 lb 6 oz and Paul Dressler, of Ivy House, fourth with 12 lb 11 oz.
The silvers prize went to Joe Thompson, of Ivy House, with a weight of 6 lb.
