BATH have disciplined Kyle Eastmond for walking out walking out on his team-mates during last week's LV= Cup triumph at Sale Sharks.
The 24-year-old centre reportedly drove home after being replaced by Matt Banahan at half-time on November 8, with Bath going on to secure a 27-20 victory.
Chief executive Nick Blofeld confirmed that Eastmond, who switched codes as he joined the Rec outfit from St Helens in 2011, has been disciplined by the club.
"The situation is being dealt with," Blofeld told the Times.
"Kyle has been disciplined but we are also helping him in what are difficult personal circumstances for him."
Meanwhile, in a statement released this morning, Bath have rubbished suggestions that Eastmond could be on his way out of the Rec.
The club said: "Contrary to current reports, Bath Rugby can confirm that Kyle Eastmond is still in contract with the club and is very much part of the squad.
"An incident arose at the Sale game last Friday, which has led to an internal investigation, but this has been dealt with and both parties have put the matter behind them.
"The club will be making no further comment on this matter."
Bath host Exeter in the LV=Cup tomorrow (kick-off 1pm).
