IT IS hard to believe that after winning the Division Four title last term, that FC North Wiltshire would find themselves battling for Division Three survival.
But that is exactly what they are doing at the moment.
With just five points from their eight games to date North Wilts face a massive game this weekend with fellow strugglers North Star B, who may have lost their way of late but will be favourites to heap more misery on their hosts, whose winless run is likely to extend to six matches.
Having moved out of the drop zone last weekend, Christian Malford will look to build on their victory over Wren FC when entertain Old Road FC, who are winless in three.
A win for Malford would see the teams swap positions in the table.
Two more sides fighting for their third division future are Crossblades and Trowbridge Town Supporters Club so their game at Nurstead Road is a must-win one for both sets of players.
Leaders Melksham Cosmos may be unbeaten in their seven games to date and may have beaten Wren FC 5-0 this season, but they shouldn’t take anything for granted when the teams lock horns at the Conigre this Sunday.
Sportzcoach Dragonz United will put their 100 per cent start on the line at Stanley Park where they will host a Worton & Cheverell side, who are playing a lot better this term.
Sportzcoach, in Dan Moore, have the division's top scorer and it would be a surprise if he didn’t add to his 16 goals.
