A WEEK after they were beaten by Sutton Benger in the Knockout Cup, AFC Avellinos will be hoping to avenge their 5-0 loss when the teams go head-to-head in their first Division Two meeting of the season.
Peter Rees' Avellinos side, who are currently in the bottom two, could leapfrog Benger if they were to beat their guests.
With leaders FC Buscots set for a free weekend, their place at the top of the table comes under threat from both Southwick Wanderers and Miller Sports A. The latter, who are at present in second spot, host an in-form GRFC side who, after losing their opening four games, have won two on the trot.
Should, Miller Sports slip up, Southwick Wanderers will be ready to pounce and if they beat Talbot FC and Miller fail to beat GRFC, then it will be Matt Rusling’s side who will finish Sunday afternoon in the number one spot.
