DIVISION One leaders Bromham could see their tenure at the top table come to an end this weekend with a tricky away game at Somerford.

Danny Powell’s side have a four-point lead over their guests at the moment, but Spike Chandler’s side, whose only defeat to date was in the reverse fixture, are on something of a roll at the moment and will have every chance of avenging their 3-2 loss from September.

Corsham CC Wildcats saw their mini-revival come to an end last weekend with a defeat against White Horse, but Scott Fleming’s side will be confident of an early return to winning ways when they travel to basement side Chippenham West End, whose season to date has been hampered by an ever-growing injury list.

One team that will be having an eye on the Somerford v Bromham result will be Prestige Bodyworks, who know that should the latter lose and they beat Goatacre CC at Combe Lane, then they will move from second to pole position.

North Star A, who have not won in seven games, face another potential defeat with the arrival of Staverton FC to their Beversbrook home.

Staverton, who have yet to reach top gear, suffered defeat at Somerford last time out and although they have been stuttering along they should have it in them to return from Calne with another victory under their belts.

After making a sluggish start to life in the division, White Horse A look to have found their feet.

Seven points from a possible 12 in their last four games has moved them into sixth spot and going into their game at home to Kings Arms (All Cannings), who they beat twice last term will see them as favourites to beat their guests for a third straight time.
