IT IS everything to play for after last week’s South West Winter League match fished on the Bristol Avon at Newbridge.
Preston Innovation Thatchers took team honours on the day with 37 points followed by Amalgamation with 34 and Sensas Thyers with 31.
Maver Bathampton slipped to fourth and now share top spot in the league with Preston Innovation Thatchers.
Individual honours on the day went to Glen Bailey, of Amalgamation, with 16 lb 12 oz of bream and roach.
Teammate Jerry Pocock was runner up spot with 12 lb 6 oz of bream and skimmers and Martin Barrett, from Trowbridge, fishing for Preston Innovation Thatchers, was third with another mixed catch weighing 12 lb 2 oz.

THE Upper Thames Winter League match on the Kennet & Avon Canal from Semington to Seend Park saw Daiwa Gordon League take team honours with 42 followed by Garbolino BVMG with 39 and Swindon Talisman with 34.
Individually, Andy Powell, of Maver Lobbys, with 13 lb 4 oz of bream won from Andy Pollard, of Daiwa Gordon League, with 12 lb 8 oz of bream and roach.
Robert Randall, of Garbolino BVMG, was third with a mixed catch weighing12 lb 6 oz.
Other placings: 4. Kevin East Browning Andover 10 lb 12 oz; 5. Mick Nowicki Garbolino BVMG 9 lb 3 oz; 6. Charlie Vallender Maver Lobbys 8 lb 12 oz.

Phil Mackay, of The Duke, was runner up with 18 lb 12 oz of carp and silvers and Mick Robbins, of Ivy House, was third with another mixed catch weighing 16 lb 8 oz.
THE Saturday Open match at Ivy House Fishery went to home matchman Alan Smith with 83 lb of carp, well clear of Elick Payne, from Calne, with 27 lb 12 oz of carp and silvers.
Geoff Fox, of Ivy House, took third prize with a carp and silvers catch weighing 15 lb 12 oz. The silvers prize went to Simon Stacey, of Ivy House, with 9 lb 3 oz.
SUNDAY’S Airsprung match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Avoncliffe was won by Lee Ross, from Trowbridge, with 12 lb 6 oz of roach and skimmers.
Mick Marsden, from Westbury, was runner up with 10 lb 2 oz of the same catch and Nick Ince, from Trowbridge, took third spot with 9 lb 6 oz taken on pole fished casters.
Other placings: 4. Richard Whitmarsh Frome 6 lb 5 oz; 6. Patrick Jay Trowbridge & Bill Turner Trowbridge 6 lb 3 oz.
WITH the river in flood at Hazeland the Calne match was switched to Blacklands Lake on Sunday.
Martin Dolman, of Calne, carried off top prize with 30 lb of tench, skimmers and roach, ahead of Simon Fear, also of Calne, with 22 lb 8 oz of carp and roach.
Brian Johnson, of Calne, took third prize with 13 lb 12 oz.
Other placings: 4. Gary Dodson Calne 9 lb 12 oz; 5. Keith Knotman Calne 6 lb 12 oz; 6. Andy Cranston Calne & Shane Belcher Calne 3 lb 14 oz.
SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open match took place on the Kennet & Avon Canal where Jim Butcher, from Bradford, had a great day, reeling in 46 lb of bream for a comfortable win.
Pete Neate, from Holt, again came in second with 18 lb 12 oz of bream, followed by Nick Johns, from Trowbridge, with 13 lb 8 oz of roach and skimmers.
Other placings: 4. Tony Gilbert Melksham 10 lb 9 oz; 5. John Atkins Trowbridge 10 lb 7 oz; 6. Mick Gunning Trowbridge 10 lb 1 oz.
THE Semington Brook at Baldham Mill was running high and coloured after recent rainfall and fish proved hard to tempt in Sunday’s Lavington match.
Brian Ellis, from Melksham, won with 4 lb of roach, dace and gudgeon.
Kevin Morris, from Devizes, was runner up with 2 lb 2 oz of teh same haul, with Tony Weeks, from West Lavington, third with 1 lb 1 oz.
Other placings: 4. Don Keates Hilperton 10 oz; 5. Mark Easey West Lavington & Chris Brown Worton 8 oz 8 dm.
