DEPLETED Warminster’s second-half fightback proved fruitless as they lost out to the Dorset & Wilts One South leaders at Folly Lane.
With several unavailable, the Amber and Blues coped well with the upheaval, but could not recover from a 17-3 half-time deficit.
Scrum-half Jason Sprangle kicked a penalty, but the visitors ran in three tries and a conversion before the interval.
The opening 20 minutes of the second half saw a home resurgence, with unconverted tries from back row Dean Priestman and winger Craig Buckton, as well as another three points from the boot of Sprangle.
With 15 minutes to go the game was in the balance at 16 - 17, but the visitors who snatched back the momentum to close the game out with a further two unconverted scores.
WESTBURY were awarded the points from their encounter with Swanage & Wareham 2nd, who were unable to raise a side.
