FOUR victories in their last six matches has seen Pig & Whistle United move to third place in the Division Three table behind Melksham Cosmos and Sportzcoach Dragons United, who were set to meet each other but saw their game scheduled for the Conigre washed out due to a waterlogged pitch.

Sean Meer was again the star man for Pig & Whistle as they beat Christian Malford 5-0.

The in-form striker scored his second hat-trick in as many games. Rob O’Harrow, started the scoring and Meer scored his first two to give United their 3-0 interval lead.

Graham Griffiths, who was a shrewd signing from AFC Melksham, scored his second in back-to-back games and Meer completed his hat-trick with his 13th goal of the season.

Crossblades FC 4 North Star B 1

CROSSBLADES recovered from their 8-0 loss against Pig & Whistle United in their previous game but beating a North Star B side who were looking for an immediate return to winning ways after suffering their first loss in six matches last weekend.

Crossblades, as so many times has happened in the past, raced to a 3-0 interval lead thanks to goals from Ricky Stolham, Tim Chilton and Carl Jacobi.

Jack Taylor pulled a goal back for North Star but his 14th goal of the season was little more than a consolation as Crossblades sealed their victory when Ashley Bartels netted to make it 4-1.

FC North Wiltshire 1 Old Road FC 1

FC NORTH Wiltshire and Old Road FC met for a second time this season and although North Wilts were unable to avenge their 4-1 loss from the opening day of the season they will be happy with the point they got from their 1-1 draw.

Jamie Newton headed a Joey Bradshaw cross over a despairing James Whitehead into his own net to give Old Road their half time lead which was cancelled out by Matt Parsons second half leveler.

Wren FC 2 Trowbridge Town Supporters Club 1

JUST two weeks ago Trowbridge Town Supporters Club got the better of Wren FC in a 10-goal thriller, taking the points thanks to a 6-4 win in the return match at Beversbrook it was Wren who emerged triumphant as they came from a goal down to avenge their earlier loss thanks to a 2-1 win.

Dean Coles' goal for the supporters’ club separated the teams at half time, Andy Waller equalised for Wren and it was left to player-manager Matt Fenn to score the goal that earned his team their fourth win of the campaign.
