TOBY Booth insists that Bath will continue to be relentless in their quest to improve week-by-week in the Aviva Premiership.

Booth was pleased to see his side overcome Gloucester last Friday, but found it easy to identify room for improvement after the Rec men failed to cross the line against their West Country rivals.

The Bath coach was still able to take solace from a battling performance from his side and is looking for another adaptable performance tonight as they look to avoid slipping up at bottom-of-the-table Worcester Warriors (kick-off 7.45pm).

“If we look back at the performance against Gloucester, we were happy to get the result for the fans but there were a few elements that we weren’t completely happy with,” said Booth.

“We definitely would have liked to have cashed in on the pressure that we had with more points, but that didn’t happen.

“But when you take a look at the penalty count, which was 20-6, that shows just how hard it was to convert – you’re sometimes up against the referee and what the other team allows you to do, so we had to do what we could.

“For us, it’s important that we try to improve in every game.

“We want to drive forward better, we want to do better in the line out and we want to do better defensively, which we’ll always look to do.”

Booth added: “Last season, we learnt against London Welsh and London Irish just how hard games against sides at the bottom of the table can be.

“We’re going to do everything we can to get another positive result, but going anywhere and winning on a Friday night is a difficult task.

“They’ve been boosted by a few players coming back and by signing three Argentina internationals (Leonardo Senatore, Ignacio Mieres and Mariano Galarza) – they’re going to be big and strong as always.”
