WITH their home pitch at St Mary’s unplayable, Steeple Ashton switched their Division One clash with Freshford United to their opponent’s base at Brown’s Park.
With Chris Birleson’s Freshford battling for the title and Neil Taylor’s Ashton side fighting to beat the drop, the result went to form as the hosts claim a 4-0 win that moves them into second place behind leaders North Bradley.
Freshford led 1-0 at the break thanks to a first goal of the season from Nick Ross.
The hosts doubled their advantage thanks to a Mark Gerrish penalty before Nick Ross planted home his second of the game for 3-0, with the scoring completed by Elliot Cariss-Smith.
