TROWBRIDGE Wanderers Reserves leapfrogged both Trowbridge Town Reserves and Westwood News to move to within two points of Lacock at the top of Division Two after their 6-1 victory over Bradford United Reserves.

Wanderers got off to a flyer and were a goal up after two minutes when Jack Parker scored after being put through by Jack Heard.

Bradford got themselves back on level term thanks to a first of the season from Luke Simpson but his goal only seemed to spur Wanderers to life and they reclaimed the lead with a first of the afternoon from Will Bayley.

Joe Walker made it 3-1 when he scored from the penalty spot after Bayley had been brought down and a second from Parker, who smashed the ball home from a Nathan Olasz pass, put them 4-1 up at the interval.

After the break, Bradford tightened things up at the back but couldn’t prevent Bayley from completing his hat-trick - his second of the afternoon came after he was set up by Walker and he then slotted home his third and Wanderers' sixth of the game when he slotted home after latching on to another inch-perfect pass from Olasz.
