A 2-2 draw for Miller Sports A showed that they should be taken as serious promotion challengers in Division Two as they fought out another thrilling 2-2 draw with league leaders FC Buscots last weekend.

Miller, who created a lot of chances in the first half and also saw two shots cleared off the line, opened the scoring through Richard Moules, who found the net from a Dan Sibley corner.

Phil Little fashioned an equaliser for Buscots but they found themselves behind at the break as another excellent corner from Sibley was turned in by Ben Grinham.

Parity was restored on 50 minutes when Jake Waters tied the game at two-each.

The rest of the half was played at a frantic pace, with both sides having chances to net a winner.

Buscots wasted three in added time, with Rob Drown twice missing the target when it looked easier to score, but it was Angus Webster who skied the best chance when he shinned over with the goal at his mercy.

Talbot FC 1 Fortune Inn FC 6

After three straight wins in the League, Calne-based Talbot FC saw their winning run brought to an abrupt end by Budge Hylands' Fortune Inn side, who ran out convincing 6-1 victors at Priestly Grove.

It was Talbot who got off to the perfect start and they were one-up within a couple minutes of the kick-off, with Andy Law giving them the lead.

Fortune fought back and drew level through Richie Bolter and by the time the half time whistle sounded they were 3-1 up thanks to goals from Matt Jenkins and Joe Hylands.

Ryan Kubulius, who also missed a penalty later in the game, added Fortune’s fourth before Jenkins made it 5-1 with his second of the game.

And the scoring was completed thanks to a second from Bolter, who had started and finished his team's fight back.
