SPORTZCOACH Dragonz United, who had suffered a 4-2 loss to North Star B in the Knock Out Cup a few weeks ago, avenged their defeat with a 6-1 triumph that saw them maintain their 100 per cent record in Division Three.
Dan Moore scored twice for the Dragonz to take his tally for the season to 19 in all competitions.
Dean Shaw, Ashley Barnett, Sam Kirk and Paul Cuthbertson all also got themselves on the scoresheet whilst Jack Taylor’s 14th goal for the Star was their lone reply.
Crossblades FC 0 Pig & Whistle United 8
Going in to their game at Devizes Town’s Nurstead Road ground, both Crossblades FC and Pig & Whistle United were locked together on six points apiece and they looked to be evenly matched, but Richard Allen’s United side hit the goal trail as they cruised to an 8-0 victory.
After putting Pig & Whistle ahead, Rob O’Harrow and his team mates had to take a back seat asSean Meer stole the show with a hat-trick - he planted his first effort home with his right foot, his second came via his left boot and he headed in the third.
The second half saw United land four more goals.
Recent signing Ashley Fletcher scored his first for the club since moving from AFC Melksham, whilst Graham Griffiths, Rich Allen and a second from Fletcher made up the winners' tally.
Melksham Cosmos 0 Christian Malford 0
Melksham Cosmos remain top of the table but they were denied a seventh straight win after they were held to a goalless draw by relegation battlers Christian Malford.
With the game moved from the Conigre to Goatacre, Cosmos, who had netted 21 times in their previous six games, were expected to take maximum points again, but with slim pickings for both sides, neither team were able to conjure up a winner.
Wren FC 2 FC North Wiltshire 0
A 2-0 victory for Wren at home to FC North Wiltshire moved them into the top half of the table and left the losers rooted to the bottom of the pile.
Dan Brown found the code to unlock North Wilts' defence in the first half to give Wren their interval lead and the victory was completed in the second half thanks to player-manager Matt Fenn, who bagged his tenth goal of the campaign.
