THE MALLARD ended a three match losing run in Division Three courtesy of a 9-1 win over Cavalier at their Buckley Barracks base.
Ben Scaife, playing in only his second game for the Mallard, top-scored with a five timer, scoring two in first half that also saw Lee Holland, Jason Dawson and Phil Jenks all find the net to give Mallard a 5-0 interval lead.
Scaife added a further three in the second half to complete his own five-star performance and Dan Spence’s single made up the nine, with Mike Land claiming Cavalier’s consolation.
Corsham Centre Youth 5 White Horse (Sunday) FC B 0
Corsham Centre Youth ran out 5-0 winners against White Horse (Sunday) B but were made to work hard for all three points at Meriton Avenue.
Goals from Ben Thomson and Stuart Tutty put the Centre two-up at the break.
Darrin Moss added a second half double and Mark Sharratt’s strike made up the leaders' five.
Oakhill FC 2 Miller Sports B 2
Oakhill and their hosts Miller Sports B fought out an exciting 2-2 draw that saw the honours deservedly shared in what was a keenly fought contest.
Oakhill took an early lead courtesy of Clint Couzens but they were pegged back by Miller’s in-from hit man Harry Waylen, who netted to square things up and then added his second of the morning to give Miller a half-time lead.
After the break, chances came and went for both sides before Couzens, who is proving to be something of a talisman for Oakhill this term, secured his team a share of the spoils with his second of the game.
