THERE are a number of eye-catching games in Division One this weekend, but the one to really whet the appetite is probably the clash between Somerford and Staverton who have been fierce rivals for many years now.

The teams are respectively second and third in the standings so like many games that have gone before this one, another nail-biter is a possibility.

Staverton have won three of the last four meetings.

Local rivals Chippenham West End and Prestige Bodyworks will lock horns at Sutton Benger and with Prestige not having lost a game all season and the West End yet to win in the league it would be fair to say that Prestige will go into the game as huge favourites.

After picking up their first win over the season last weekend after their thumping 10-0 success over leaders Bromham, Scott Fleming will be looking to his Corsham Wildcats side to claim three more points when they host North Star A.

Honours were shared last term with one win apiece.

Leaders Bromham put last weeks 10-0 loss down to a bad day at the office and travel to face Kings Arms (All Cannings).

Goatacre CC FC have only ever managed to beat White Horse FC A once before, but their meeting at Leighton Sports Centre will give them another chance to take maximum points from Clive Black’s side.

The hosts have yet to deliver the goods since they won promotion last term so this will be a massive game for them as they look to edge away from the drop zone.
