A BIG Trowbridge pack dominated proceedings to help earn the visitors a four-try bonus-point win.
From the start Trowbridge took control, holes appearing in the home defence to allow Trowbridge centre Joe Knight to carve through under the posts giving Lloyd Davis an easy conversion.
Swanage hit back as winger Darren Wilcox crossed the line, but the conversion was missed.
Forceful pick and drive play took Trowbridge up to the Swanage line where number eight Shane Johnstone powered his way over, Davis adding the extras.
In the last quarter of the first half, Swanage replacement Kirk Jones intercepted a sliced kick from Davis to run 70 metres to the line and cut the Swans’ deficit to four points.
The home side started the second half in more determined fashion, forcing Trowbridge into giving away three penalties two converted and the other missed.
Trowbridge themselves were awarded a penalty that Davis converted to stretch his side’s advantage.
Several scrums on the home side’s line finally brough their rewards for the visitors as scrum-half Kyle Knight scored a well-taken try out wide.
In the last quarter, the home side failed to clear their line with a defensive kick to touch.
The ball fell into the hands of Trowbridge winger James Davies who ran straight at the defence and placed a neat grubber kick through before running on to claim the bonus-point score himself.
