FROME Town manager Derek Graham is aiming to add the finishing touches to his squad over the coming days as he prepares for his first full season in charge at Badgers Hill.

The Robins boss has moulded his own team this summer after a host of ins and outs and is hoping to make as many as two more signings ahead of the final week of pre-season.

“We’re still speaking to one of two lads that we’d like to bring over and hopefully we can get them in,” said Graham.

“We didn’t really want to lose any of the people that we have this season but we’ve brought in quite a few and they’ve gelled together well so far.

“A lot of lads have stepped up from a lower level but that’s the kind of thing we have to do here because of the budget. Plenty of clubs spend a lot of money but it’s a bit of a merry-go-round and we don’t want to get involved with that.”

Graham took a Frome side to Wessex League Bemerton Heath Harlequins on Monday night for the Robin’s pre-season friendly.

Rhys Baggridge scored twice whilst Luke Ballinger was also on target for Graham’s men as they drew 3-3.

“It was a really good workout and we played some superb stuff in the first half,” said the Badgers Hill boss.

“I left out a lot of the Bristol lads because it was a long way to travel for them but that also meant that it was a good chance to have a look at a few others.”

The likes of Josh Ford, Dean Flockton, Ben Thomson, Kurt Hammonds, Matt Lattibeaudiere and Ollie Woolland are all expected to return to the Frome squad for tomorrow’s clash with last season’s play-off winners Gosport Borough (3pm).
